(A note from the author Janet Rogers)
I found a friend on face book a few weeks ago, that I haven't seen,I suppose, since I was about 11. She used to live next door to me and we were childhood friends. I found her through her brother Terry who I recognised and added to my friends list. She said she has read my autobiography, 'Surviving Strangers now who's the Div? 'http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008NG4VPS ......
This is what she said in a private message about the book

‘Hi Jan
Well, here's a funny thing. I started reading your book on Amazon (did you know you can access a LOT of chapters of your book without paying?) and was so riveted that I splashed out and paid for the download!
I found reading it really quite surreal. For the first couple of chapters, you wrote about MY memories, which was weird. Also, I knew your Dad fairly well when I was in my 20s - my husband used to play darts at the Horse and Jockey so we used to see him there, and at other pubs. We also knew Tarpot! You captured him exactly, and made me laugh.
I found your tale somewhat sad, as well as heart warming. You have clearly put your children first, so that they know they are loved and supported. That is the best thing a person can do isn't it?
I get the feeling, and certainly hope, that your life has been somewhat better in the intervening years. :)
I felt very nosy in wanting to read about your life, but then you did put it out there! :)’
Thanks Sal and all of you that have bought and downloaded it, it means a lot to me and the other me, Mumma Grimmer xxx

Well Janet, I purchased your Surviving Strangers book on my Kindle today and I'm 50 per cent through and you've just had Pete's baby,it's now 03.45 and I must go to bed.It really is a harrowing book to read but one that's almost impossible to put down. I'll message you again when I've finished it ...... God almighty I hope you've found happiness in the end, you deserve it ..... Jim/Syd x

And again……..
Just heard that another person is reading my autobiography after downloading from Amazon.com thank you, Bex hope you enjoy it. To Claire Dibley (who bought the book a few weeks ago) thank you too! I know how much it upset you, although you did admit you laughed too! It has been said by everyone who has read it that they can't put it down. So thank you to everyone who has bought it and I am still here to tell the tale so I survived and actually I am pretty darn strong. Slightly mad maybe but you have to admit my sense of humour is intact. A happy ending? Who knows... I ain't dead yet!!!! Still I'd like to know what you think of what you've read. Did it help? Did it make you angry? Did it make you laugh or cry. Or was it a waste of money? let me know and if you have a question feel free to ask me xxx :))

These are just a few of the recent messages, talking about my autobiography that I have received in recent weeks. Surviving Strangers seems to appeal to both men (this result took me by complete surprise) and women equally and all without exception seem to have great difficulty putting it down, great news for me although not so good for them if they have more important things to do. Thank you Janet S rogers aka Mumma Grimmer The Author :))

Brothers Grimmer = Surface Festival

We need you!!!!! Brothers Grimmer will be taking their well deserved place on the stage at the regional semi-finals of the Surface Festival at The Croft in Bristol on Sunday 22nd July. Hoping to put Bournemouth firmly on the map in this European Festival. Now that sounds simple enough doesn't it? Well no it isn't as clear cut as that because without the support of everyone, either by texting your vote and for Brothers Grimmer text West 4011 send to 64343 (txts cost £1 see legal stuff) or better still getting your ticket (£8 from BG or me) or booking your place and securing your seat (transport will cost another £10 =£18 each) then Brothers Grimmer will be out of the Competition and Bournemouth will sink back into the LIVE MUSIC abyss....there is a lot of talent in Bournemouth it would be a great pity to lose the momentum that we are trying to achieve, it's not just about Brothers Grimmer, it's about every other talented artist and musician, and keeping live venues and the local music scene in this beautiful town of ours alive......Do we really want to be known as the mecca of the elderly that retire here to die. There is more to Bournemouth than Bingo wings. Brothers Grimmer can show not just the UK but the whole of Europe where we are but not without your help, peeps and Grimmer fans so let's push the point and get texting or contact us for your ticket and tour and take The Croft by storm....Thank you Mumma Grimmer
