    • Janet Rogers She was an amazing lady, employed by Social services but she went far and beyond the call of duty for every single girl who passed through her care, she never did it for the money she did it for the love and care of each and every one of us, She was with me through the toughest part of my life and fought my corner against the advice of the social services department, without her love and belief in me, I wouldn't be the person I am today, I loved her as if she were my own Mum and she me. I got the call about an hour ago from one of the girls, Jenny who I met whilst in care and is a life long friend, she was contacted by Mrs Wills son, as you can see we have stayed in touch for 40 years, We are devastated but eternally grateful to one woman we called Mum x

Butlins Bognor Regis, should be ashamed

Butlins, Bognor Regis, Norwalk outbreak!

by Janet Rogers on Thursday, 16 June 2011 at 15:34
As most of you are aware, we came back from Butlins yesterday morning because of the Norwalk virus. I see it's in the tabloid press again today.
What I would like to know is why, when Butlins knew they had this virus on the site on Saturday that they didn't notify any of the new holiday makers before they went on Monday?
Why there was no notification notices anywhere on the site, all there was was an extraordinary amount of staff wiping hand rails and hand sanitiser gels at the entrance of most food outlets.
The first we knew of the virus was on Tuesday Lunchtime whilst feeling sick and staying in our apartment, we were watching the Southern news on television, 100 already had the virus and by teatime the number reported on the news was 200.
Why were those with the virus, told to leave the site immediately, all hush, hush! Could it be a case of money being more important than public health again?
Babies just a few weeks old and toddlers vomiting all over the place, obviously extremely distressed, I can tell you it's bad enough for adullts.
BUTLINS YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED, BILLY WOULD TURN IN HIS GRAVE!
